Job Purpose:

Varsity College, an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (Pty) Ltd, is a registered private higher education institution.

Duties and Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                        

  • Creating Brand Awareness:
  • Distributes marketing material
  • Markets the brand in new areas and educates opinion leaders
  • Facilitates presentations at schools and hands out interest cards
  • Cold calls to parents to market the brand
  • Represent the brand at career expos
  • Facilitates stakeholder events                                                                                            

Recruitment of Students:                                                                                                                                            

  • Conduct follow up calls to prospective students and schedule interviews
  • Respond to on-line and telephonic enquiries
  • Presents the Varsity College philosophy
  • Advises students on the course of interest and explains Varsity College's entrance criteria


  • Best suited to a confident person who has a strong sales/marketing profile
  • Persuasive communication and dynamic public speaking skills
  • An organised individual who is target driven and proactive
  • Must have initiative and be able to formulate and implement plans
  • Prepared and able to work inconvenient hours during busy periods
  • Computer Literate


  • Minimum of a National Diploma (three year) or Bachelors Degree in PR/Business/Marketing/Communications

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience

Working Conditions:

  • EE/AA position
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle essential.
